"Thought For Food," a Willamette Valley Food Forum

Our friends, Robin Johnson and Amanda Poston from
Culinary Arts at Lane Community College have invited
the Slow Food members and friends to "Food For
Thought," an event organized by the Bioneers. The
details are below.

are community based, healthy, and secure!
YOU ARE INVITED
To "Thought For Food," a Willamette Valley Food Forum,
Thursday, August 25, 2005 6pm - 9pm.
A social and educational evening including dinner,
film and community dialogue about the vital issues
related to the food we eat.
Who: Everyone is invited to join Oregon Bioneers
organizers in welcoming guest Arty Mangan for an
evening of "Thought for Food."
What: Dinner, Film, Community Dialogue.
6:00 Dinner
6:30 Bioneers video presentation of Tom Linzey,
7:00 - 9:00 Community Dialogue convened by Arty
Mangan, Bioneers Food and Farming Director.
Where: Lane Community College
Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19.
4000 E. 30th Avenue
Eugene, OR 97405
When: August 25, 2005. 6-9pm.
How: Please pre-register for 6pm dinner in advance,
cost is $25 per person and includes meal, film and
community dialogue.
Pre-register by calling 345-6919 or e-mail Sherisa,
sherisa@bridgingworldsnw.org before Aug. 22.
Payments of cash, visa or check payable to Oregon
Bioneers/Lane Community College are accepted.
**Participation in the film and community dialogue is
open to everyone and does not require the purchase of
dinner or preregistration.
We suggest a $5 - $10 donation and appreciate any
contribution.
This event precedes this year's Oregon Bioneers
Conference, "The Northwest Vision for Postive Change,"
(October 14 -16th 2005) to gather a concentrated group
of local food and farming activists for an open
discussion on how local residents can support a
positive food future for everyone. Bioneers is
interested in promoting connectivity among food and
farming constituencies, building alliances and sharing
model solutions.
